Dutch for children

DUTCH APPROACH provides language and cultural courses for adults. Dutch education for children is provided:

  • In Taipei by Nederlandse School Taipei;
  • In Tokyo by Stichting Nederlands Onderwijs Japan; and
  • In Singapore by Hollandse School Limited.

Nederlandse School Taipei

The Nederlandse School Taipei is a recognised school by the Dutch Ministry of Education. Since 1989 the Nederlandse School Taipei offers NTC education (Nederlands taal- en cultuuronderwijs). The program offers language classes on Saturdays, with additional cultural activities for children with a Dutch language background that attend local schools. The program includes classes for toddlers and all eight groups as determined by the Dutch elementary education system. The Nederlandse School Taipei is, in addition to the Saturday program, also the provider of Dutch language classes at the Taipei European School in TianMu.

For non-Dutch speaking parents of pupils at the Nederlandse School Taipei, DUTCH APPROACH arranges Dutch language courses in times slots simultaneous to the class of their children.

Stichting Nederlands Onderwijs Japan

Stichting Nederlands Onderwijs in Japan (SNOJ) provides more than 20 years Dutch language and cultural education (Nederlands taal- en cultuuronderwijs). The program offers language classes on Tuesdays at the Tokyo International School (TIS) and on Saturdays at the Dutch Embassy.

Hollandse School Limited

Hollandse School Limted (HSL) opened its first simple classroom in Singapore in 1920! Teh school is located at Bukit Tinggi Road. HSL has a neutral-exceptional character and is a legal person (Limited) incorporated under Singaporean law. This means that the school is self-supporting and fully independent. All parents become members of Hollandse School Limited and are involved in their children’s education.
